Born and raised in San Luis Obispo, CA, Michael is a SoCal native who began his move down the coast of CA when he attended college at University of California Santa Barbara and eventually made his way all the way south when he moved to San Diego in 2000. Michael is a second generation Realtor and son of retired Realtors John & Bernadine Barrow who taught him the real estate ins and outs as they successfully ran their own brokerage, John Barrow Realty.

Michael started out in the mortgage industry in 2003 as a loan officer, which affords him with a unique ability to help clients navigate the complicated lending world of today. In 2006 Michael decided to follow in his parent's footsteps and transitioned to the role of Realtor.

Having spent his whole life living on the coast, and about half his life in the water playing water polo and competitively swimming all the way through college at UCSB, Michael developed a particular fondness for beach communities. That love of the coast has continued in his real estate career selling homes up and down San Diego's coastline, from La Jolla and Del Mar to Encinitas and Carlsbad, as well as the communities of Rancho Santa Fe, Carmel Valley, metro San Diego, and downtown.

Along with the coastal communities of San Diego County Michael's specialties include luxury properties and relocation where he assists many hi-level executive hirees in their home purchase and sales for such companies as Qualcomm, LPL Financial, Active Network, Scripps Medical, Salk Institute, Genprobe and General Anotomics Aeronautical Systems.
